As for Form 5,we are most interested to learn base number for Base 2, Base 5, and Base 8. The Base 2 is also known as Binary Number and Base 8 is known as OCTAL number.

Charles brought 100 men to the battlefield. During his engagement with the German’s troops , each of his men managed to kill p numbers of soldiers. Represent the statement above using algebraic expression .

Sol:

A = 100p ; A : Total German’s troops killed by Charles’ men

Example:

Jimmy went hunting one afternoon . He manage to kill x foxes , y wild boars and z bears. If the weight of an average foxes , wild boars and bears weighs were 3 kg , 10kg and 20kg each . Sum the total weight for his hunts ?

Sol:

3x + 10y + 20z

Example:

Hilton place m gold fish in his new fish tank. On the second day , he found that n of the gold fish died due to high chlorine concentration. Hilton bought 5 more gold fish on the third day , what is the total gold fish in his new fish tank ? Write an algebraic expression for the total gold fish represented by M .

Sol:

M = m – n + 5

In the year 2002 , Malaysian Statistics Department release the total number of death due to various road accidents. From the data observed , a are women , b are men whiLSle c are children. Express and algebraic equation for the total death due to road accidents

Sol:

Total Death = a + b + c
